This 5/16" ID hose is a common sized used on diesel vehicles including: VW, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo, as well as others. This hose equates to 7.9mm for the metric die-hards out there.

Specs: 5/16" ID, 1/8" Wall, 3/8, 9/16" OD. This hose is pure, 100% Viton® fluoroelastomer and is also 100% biodiesel resistant. Rated for 400*F continuous. Sometimes this hose comes in brown, sometimes in black, but it is all 100% Viton®.

We highly recommend using ABA hose clamps on this hose, as it is prone to tearing when used with "normal" worm-gear clamps. Clamps #14 and 15 fit this hose well in most applications (depending on the exact size of the barb the hose is installed on).
